New Beginnings

Welcoming a new little life into the world is one of the most precious moments you’ll ever experience. From the moment you find out you are expecting there are so many emotions. Maternity photos are such a beautiful way to remember how amazing the journey is. Those first weeks after baby is born are fleeting β€” tiny hands, soft features, and the sweetest yawns that seem to disappear all too quickly.

That’s why I love photographing Maternity at your chosen location and newborns in the comfort of your own home. It’s a familiar, relaxed space where you and your baby can feel completely at ease. My approach is calm, patient, and baby-led, ensuring the session flows naturally and beautifully. These photographs become heirlooms β€” gentle reminders of just how small they once were.

How it works - Maternity and Newborn sessions

1. Booking Your Session
For Maternity photos I suggest between week 34-38 to capture the growning bump. For newborn sessionsI recommend booking while you’re still pregnant (ideally in your second or third trimester) so we can plan for your little one’s arrival. Sessions usually take place within the first 2 weeks after birth.

2. At Your Session
Maternity photos can be held at any location you choose. Newborn Sessions are held in a calm, cosy environment - either in your home or at a chosen studio space. We’ll move at baby’s pace, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, and breaks.

3. My Approach
I keep things natural and gentle - no stiff poses, just soft, timeless imagery that highlights your baby’s unique features and your family’s connection.

4. Your Memories Delivered
You’ll receive a curated online gallery with hand-edited images, plus the option to order fine art prints and albums to hold onto these memories forever.

A small note from me…

The first chapters of life are tender, fleeting, and full of wonder. From the anticipation of maternity to the tiny details of a newborn, I strive to capture these moments with warmth and care, so you can hold onto them forever.

Yours truly, Melissa
