Heirloom
Family is at the heart of everything, and the moments you share together - big and small, deserve to be remembered. From milestone birthdays and anniversaries to a simple afternoon spent laughing together, these are the stories that shape your legacy.
My Heirloom sessions are about capturing your family’s connection as it truly is: natural, joyful, and uniquely yours. Whether we’re outdoors exploring Dunedin’s landscapes or in the comfort of your home, my goal is to create timeless photographs you’ll treasure for generations.
How it works
1. Let’s Chat
We’ll talk through your vision for the session - whether it’s a milestone, an extended family gathering, or a relaxed portrait session.
2. The Session
Your shoot can take place at home, in your favourite outdoor spot, or at a location that feels meaningful to you. I’ll guide gently where needed but keep the focus on natural connection and interaction.
3. The Experience
Every family is different, some are loud and playful, others more quiet and intimate. I embrace it all, letting your family’s personality shine through in the images.
4. Your Photographs
After your session, I’ll carefully edit your images and deliver them in a private online gallery. From there, you can download, share, and choose prints or albums to create lasting keepsakes.
-
Heirloom sessions start at $90, with flexible options for smaller or extended family groups, as well as print and album add-ons.
-
Heirloom sessions can include family portraits, children, maternity, extended family gatherings, anniversaries, birthdays, or any special event you’d love to preserve.
-
I often photograph families outdoors or in the comfort of their home. We’ll choose a location together that feels relaxed and personal to you.
-
Most family sessions last around 1–2 hours, giving plenty of time for everyone to settle in and for genuine moments to unfold.
-
You can expect 20-60 hand-edited images, depending on your chosen package.
-
That’s absolutely fine, in fact, I encourage play and movement. Some of the most authentic photographs come from the unscripted, in-between moments.
